Dining hall (Oottupura) - Nov 2011
On 5th Nov 2011,Jishnu Foundation presented a dining hall (Oottupura) to the Shiva temple in Mathur,Tavanur(Malappuram-dist) at a simple function, attended by the trustees, family and well-wishers.
HARI MASTER, as he was fondly known,HARIDAS KARAT, of PALLASSANA, PALAKKAD DISThad been an integral part of the Jishnu Foundation, from its inception A dedicated teacher, volunteer, well-wisher, and besides all a great human being without a parallel. His demise has left a void which can never be filled. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and we at JISHNU FOUNDATION will always be inspired and indebted by the good work he carried out selflessly for the Foundation.

Jishnu Kinesiotherapy lab commissioned at MCOAHS(Manipal College Of Allied Health Sciences)
The State of the art Jishnu Kinesiotherapy Lab, the first and best of its kind in India and Asia was inaugurated by Dr H S Ballal, Pro Chancellor of Manipal University on Tuesday.1st Nov 2011.The members of the Jishnu Foundation, Mr. Sasikumar, Mrs. Vatsala Sasikumar, Mr. Manmohan,Dr.Rajashekhar Dean and Dr.Arun Mayya Assoc. Dean of the college respectively, were also present on the occasion.
The advanced technology lab would cater to the advanced clinical training of physiotherapy students of the regular, Malaysian Top Up and the recently launched Dual Degree PG programs with Robert Gordon University, Scotland.This facility will position the already established Department of Physiotherapy of MCOAHS as the leader in the quality training of Indian & International students. This lab is an outcome of the funding by Jishnu Foundation (created in the memory of Jishnu Sasikumar,alumni MCOHAS Manipal and involved in community services for the underprivileged and children) and with a matching fund of the Manipal University.
Jishnu Foundation Office at Pallavur.
It was the long cherished dream of Jishnu Foundation, to function from its own office premises. This turned into a reality on the 30th October 2011, at a simple inaugural function at Pallavur,amidst a gathering of well wishers, volunteers, family members and trustees.The office premises was inaugurated , by cutting the ribbon and lighting of the lamp by Smt Kallianikutty Amma.

Trapped in disobedient bodies and minds these innocent adults look upon the society to lend a helping hand so that they too realize that life is for love, laughter, dreams and hopes. Association for Mentally Handicapped Adults, (AMHA), Thrissur, Kerala, is an institution, where more than 50 Mentally challenged adults in the age group 14-50 yrs, reside, and are taught basic self help skills, recognition of colors, shapes, sizes, identification of objects, communication skills, and vocational training depending upon their abilities, with the help of dedicated teachers, under the able leadership of Prof Bhanumati. As a part of its determined commitment to our less fortunate brother's and sisters, Jishnu foundation lent a helping hand to"AMHA"(Association for Mentally Handicapped Adults), by distributing clothes to the inmates, collected from their well wishers in Doha, Qatar on 28th July 2011.
Jishnu Foundation's Solidarity With Mamangam
"LITTLE DROPS OF WATER MAKE THE MIGHTY OCEAN" - JISHNU FOUNDATION made a modest contribution to MAMANGAM's welfare fund for the under privileged in KLANG MALAYSIA on 4th June 2011 in connection with their 10th anniversary celebrations, and welfare fund launch. Manmohan Ullattil(Manoj) Trustee JISHNU FOUNDATION presenting the contribution to DATUK Rajan Menon(PRESIDENT-MAMANGAM)and DATO Muraly Daran Menon(Joint organizing Chairman-MAMANGAM).
Distribution of Endowments
Jishnu Foundation, awarded endowments to three top students of class IV, of Govt Lower Primary School, Pallavur, Palakkkad dist, comprising of educational aids and school bags, at a gathering of parents and teachers of the school, on 19thApril 2011. The endowment was given in recognition of their overall performance.
Pilgrim Shelter At Chamravattom, Tirur - Nov 2010
A Pilgrim shelter was donated to the Ayyappa temple ,Chamravattom,on 15th Nov 2010 at a simple function.
Manipal Awards - Nov 2010
Second year BPT toppers,of Manipal college of Allied Health sciences(MCOAHS) were awarded medals and certificates for their outstanding performance,by the Jishnu Foundation,on 1st Nov 2010 at Manipal.
Eye Camp, Alathiyur (June - 2010)
Jishnu Foundation conducted an Eye-Camp at Poozhikunnu, Alathiyur, Tirur, Malappuram District, Kerala on the 27th June 2010 in association with the Ahaliya Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad for Cataract Detection and Surgery. The patients diagonised with cataract problems and needing surgery underwent surgery free of cost at the Ahaliya Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad and were taken and brought back to their residences. Around 15 people were benefitted from this camp.
Free Uniform Distribution (June - 2010)
On the 4th of June 2010, School Uniforms were distributed to 60 very poor children of Four Lower Primary Schools and One High School ,in Pallassana and Pallavur,Palakkad Dist Kerala by the Foundation.
Free Coaching Classes (April-May 2010)
From the 3rd April 2010, our Foundation conducted free coaching classes for students who just entered their tenth standard (especially for those with very poor financial background and those who could not afford expensive tutions) in all subjects for a period of 45 days at V.I.M. High School Pallassana, Palakkad District. In addition to routine classes, Personality development Sessions and English Speaking Classes were also conducted. The attendance rate was 100% throughout. Special mention should be made of Prof. Mohan, Hari Master, P.S. Ramanathan. Sreepathy, Advocate Jyothi Basu and the Headmistress of V.I.M High School without whom, this would not have been possible. About 75 Students of 5 Schools participated in these classes. Notebooks and Stationery were provided to each Student by the Foundation.
In continuing with its activities,Jishnu Foundation,in june2009,distributed school uniforms to 75 poor students (both boys and girls) of three Lower primary and one High school in Pallassana,Palakkad district.
Awards and Felicitations
In Oct 2009,Jishnu foundation felicitated Mr Balachandran master,Physical Education teacher,Govt HSS,Koduvayur Palakkad dist on his being selected for the award of the best teacher by the Govt of Kerala.A selfless and devoted teacher commited to his profession and to his students was instrumental in coordinating one of the biggest eye-camps conducted by the foundation in Aug-2009.jishnu Foundation wishes him all success and may many more laurels come his way.
On the same occaision,the foundation felicitated Shri Jay Vittal,Estate Manager,Manipal University, for his commendable efforts in running a home for the mentally challenged(‘Asray’).The Trustees and wellwishers of Jishnu Foundation spent some time with the inmates of “Asray”and had Dinner with the inmates.
The foundation also gave away awards to the meritorious students of MES higher secondary school,Doha,Qatar in various disciplines in connection with their annual day celebrations,held on the 19th Dec 2009.
Jishnu foundation donated a Prasadam distribution counter at the Thriprangode Maha Shiva Temple,Thriprangode,Tirur-Malappuram dist on the 12th Feb 2010-Mahasivaratri day.
Jishnu foundation also conducted a vision screening camp at three lower primary and one upper primary schools in Tanur,Malappuram district on the 6thNov2009 and a review on the 19thJan2010 in association with Ahalia Foundation eye hospital,Palakkad.20 students were provided with spectacles at subsidized rates,one student was provided with spectacles free of cost,and 7 students were referred to Ahalia Foundation eye hospital, for expert and detailed evaluation,free of cost

The contributions to the Foundation by the family members need special mention,without whose kindheartedness,none of these activities would have been possible.
